Important Safety Notice – Makita 18V LXT Grease Guns and Hoses

Makita has issued a safety notice regarding certain models of Grease Guns and Hoses from the 18V LXT line, sold between February 2021 and January 2025. This action is being taken to prevent potential safety risks for our users.

• DGP180ZX03
• DGP180ZX06

• DGP180RT

Hoses:

• 191W58-9
• 191A79-9
• 191W59-7   
• 191A80-4

Potential Risk

In some cases, if the flexible hose tip is repeatedly bent when injecting grease into narrow spaces, it could form a hole, which may lead to grease splashing and cause injury to the user.

Immediate Actions

• Stop using the affected grease guns and hoses immediately.
• Cease the sale of these products if you are a MAKITA distributor.
• This notice applies to products purchased between February 2021 and January 2025.
